Description
Why It’s Done:
• To diagnose a mugwort pollen allergy in individuals experiencing symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy eyes, coughing, or asthma, particularly during late summer and fall.
• To help identify the cause of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever).
• To assess cross-reactivity with certain foods, as mugwort allergy can be associated with oral allergy syndrome (OAS) when eating foods like celery, carrots, or spices.
• To guide allergy management and treatment, including avoidance strategies or immunotherapy.
Preparation:
