Test Preparation
To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guidelines
- Clothing – Wear loose and comfortable clothing. You may be asked to remove garments that cover your legs.
- Fasting – In most cases, fasting is not required. However, if advised by your doctor, follow specific instructions.
- Hydration – You may be encouraged to drink water for better ultrasound imaging.
- Medications – Continue taking your regular medications unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.
- Avoid Smoking & Caffeine – Refrain from smoking or consuming caffeine at least 2-3 hours before the test, as they can affect blood circulation.
- No Lotions or Oils – Do not apply any creams, lotions, or oils on your legs before the test, as they may interfere with the ultrasound gel.
