Test Preparation
Before the Test:
• Wear loose-fitting clothes or a hospital gown.
• Remove any jewelry or metal items near the foot and ankle area.
• Inform the technician if you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, as precautions may be necessary.
Special Instructions:
• Let the technician know if you’re in pain or have difficulty moving your foot, so they can assist with proper positioning.
• If this is a follow-up X-ray, bring along any previous images or reports for comparison.
