    Usually, no special preparation is needed. Just follow these basic guidelines:

    •  Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothes. You may be asked to wear a hospital gown to expose the leg.
    •  Remove Metal Items: Take off any jewelry, watches, or metallic objects near the leg.
    •  Inform the Technician:
      o If you’re pregnant or may be pregnant
      o If you’ve had recent surgery or injuries
