Test Preparation
Usually, no special preparation is needed. Just follow these simple steps:
• Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothes. You may be asked to change into a hospital gown to avoid artifacts in the X-ray image.
• Remove metal items: Take off belts, zippers, buttons, or jewelry near the hip or waist area, as metal can interfere with image clarity.
• Pregnancy alert: Inform the radiology team if you are pregnant or may be, so protective shielding can be used.
• No fasting required: You can eat, drink, and take any regular medications before the test.
