    Test Preparation

    To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

     Clothing & Personal Items
    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your hands.
    • Remove rings, bracelets, watches, or any metal objects from your hands and wrists, as they can interfere with the X-ray.
     Medical History & Informing Your Doctor
    • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, as X-rays involve radiation.
    • Let the technician know if you have previous injuries, metal implants, or medical conditions affecting your hands.
    During the Procedure
    • You will be asked to place both hands flat on the X-ray table with palms facing down.
    • The technician will take an AP view X-ray of both hands.
    • You must remain still to prevent blurry images.
    • The procedure takes approximately 10-15 minutes
