VEP (Visual Evoked Potential) is a non-invasive eye and brain test that measures how well your brain responds to visual stimuli. It helps detect problems in the optic nerves, visual pathways, or brain areas responsible for sight.
This test is often used to diagnose or monitor vision-related neurological conditions.

    Test Preparation

To ensure accurate and comfortable testing, follow these preparation steps:

     Vision Correction:
    • If you wear glasses or contact lenes, bring them with you.
    • Use any vision aids that help you see clearly, unless instructed otherwise.
    Hair & Scalp:
    • Wash your hair before the test and avoid using hair oils, gels, sprays, or styling products.
    • This helps the electrodes stick properly to your scalp.
     Eye Care:
    • If you use eye drops or have any ongoing eye issues, inform your doctor or technician.
    • Avoid eye makeup like eyeliner or mascara, as it may interfere with electrode placement.
    Medications:
    • Take your regular medications unless instructed otherwise.
    • Let your doctor know if you’re on medications that affect your nervous system.
     Other Considerations:
    • Eat a light meal before the test.
    • Avoid caffeine or stimulants (coffee, tea, energy drinks) on the day of the test, unless your doctor says it’s okay.
    • Be well-rested — fatigue can affect test accuracy
