Description
Purpose of the Test:
• To identify paraneoplastic syndromes associated with cancer, which can cause neurological, endocrine, and other systemic issues
• To help in the early detection of cancer that may not be easily localized by imaging techniques
• To assess the immune system’s response to tumors and differentiate between cancer-related symptoms and other autoimmune conditions
• To assist in monitoring the progression of cancer and its potential paraneoplastic effects, especially during treatment or remission
Preparation Required:
• No fasting required for the test
• Inform the healthcare provider about any ongoing cancer treatments, as they can influence test results
• Provide detailed medical history, including any neurological or systemic symptoms that might suggest a paraneoplastic syndrome
