Description

Why It’s Done:

• To detect prostate cancer and its recurrence after treatment.
• To locate cancer spread to lymph nodes or other organs.

Preparation:

• Do not eat or drink anything except water for 4 to 6 hours before the test.
• Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
