Test Preparation
Clothing:
• Wear loose pants or shorts so the technician can access your left leg easily.
• You may be asked to change into a gown.
Hygiene:
• Take a shower or bath before the test to clean the skin.
• Do not apply any lotions, oils, or creams on your legs on the day of the test.
Medication:
• Continue your regular medications unless your doctor says otherwise.
• Inform your doctor if you are taking:
o Blood thinners (e.g., aspirin, warfarin)
o Have a bleeding disorder
Implanted Devices:
• Let the technician know if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or any other implanted medical device.
Eating:
• You can eat and drink normally before the test. No fasting is needed.
