Description

Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

• Fasting: Usually not required since it is a non-contrast scan. However, some centers may ask for 4-6 hours of fasting.
• Hydration: You may be advised to drink plenty of water before the scan.
• Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal zippers or buttons. You may need to change into a hospital gown.
• Remove Metal Objects: Remove jewelry, belts, and any metallic accessories that can interfere with the imaging.
• Medical History:
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or have a history of lung, heart, or kidney diseases.
If you have metal implants, pacemakers, or prior surgeries, inform the radiologist.
• Medications: Continue regular medications unless instructed otherwise.
