    Test Preparation

    To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

    Fasting:
    4–6 hours of fasting before the scan.
    Only clear liquids (water, black coffee, or tea without milk/sugar) may be allowed.
    Hydration:
    Drink plenty of water before and after the scan to help flush out the contrast dye.
    Contrast Dye Precautions:
    This test involves an intravenous (IV) contrast injection for better visualization.
    Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, iodine allergies, or diabetes (especially if taking Metformin).
    Kidney function tests (like creatinine levels) may be required before the scan.
    Pregnancy Alert:
    If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, inform the doctor before the scan due to radiation exposure.
    Clothing & Metal Objects:
    Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal parts.
    Remove jewelry, eyeglasses, dentures, or metallic accessories to avoid image interference.
    Motion Control:
    Stay still and follow breathing instructions for clear images.
