    Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guidelines

    • Clothing – Wear loose, comfortable clothing for easy access to the arms. You may need to remove garments covering the upper limbs.
    • Fasting – Not required unless specified by your doctor. You can eat and drink normally.
    • Medications – Continue taking your regular medications unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
    • Hydration – You may be asked to drink water for better imaging, though it’s usually not necessary.
    • Avoid Smoking & Caffeine – Refrain from smoking or consuming caffeine at least 2-3 hours before the test, as these can affect blood circulation.
    • No Lotions or Oils – Avoid applying any lotions, creams, or oils on your arms before the test, as they may interfere with the ultrasound gel.
