The Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test measures the level of AMH in the blood. AMH is a hormone produced by the granulosa cells of ovarian follicles in women and by testicular cells in males during fetal development. In women, AMH levels reflect the quantity of the remaining egg supply (ovarian reserve).
The test is used as a marker of ovarian reserve and reproductive potential.
