The Allergen – Common Ragweed Test is a diagnostic blood or skin test that detects allergic sensitization to Ambrosia artemisiifolia, commonly known as ragweed pollen. Ragweed is a widespread weed whose pollen is a major cause of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) in late summer and fall. The test measures specific Immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against ragweed pollen or evaluates skin reactivity to ragweed extracts.
