Cbc / Complete Blood Count

The Complete Blood Count (CBC) is a common blood test that measures different components and features of your blood. It helps evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders. The CBC measures:
• Red Blood Cells (RBCs) – carry oxygen throughout the body
• Hemoglobin (Hb) – the oxygen-carrying protein in RBCs
• Hematocrit (Hct) – percentage of RBCs in your blood
• White Blood Cells (WBCs) – help fight infection
• Platelets – help with blood clotting
• Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV) – average size of RBCs
• Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH) and MCH Concentration (MCHC) – average amount and concentration of hemoglobin in RBCs
• Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW) – variation in size of RBCs
• White blood cell differential count – breakdown of different types of white cells (e.g., neutrophils, lymphocytes)
