An X-ray Sacrum (AP) is a diagnostic imaging test that captures a frontal (Anterior-Posterior) view of the sacrum — the large, triangular bone at the base of the spine, just above the coccyx (tailbone). The sacrum connects the spine to the pelvis and plays an essential role in supporting body weight and stabilizing the pelvis.

    Before the Test:
    • No fasting or special dietary prep is needed.
    • Inform the technician if you are pregnant or might be.
    • Empty your bladder and bowels, if possible, before the test — bowel gas or contents can interfere with image clarity.
