600.00

An X-Ray Left Thigh (AP + LAT) includes two key views of the left femur (thigh bone):

• AP (Anterior-Posterior) View: Captures the thigh from front to back
• LAT (Lateral) View: Captures the thigh from the side

Together, these views provide a comprehensive image of the bone, surrounding tissue, and any abnormalities in alignment or structure.

Test Preparation

No special preparation is generally needed, but here’s what to keep in mind:

  • Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothes. You may need to change into a gown to fully expose the left thigh.
  • Remove Metal Items: Take off all metallic objects from the waist down—like belts, jewelry, coins, or clothing with zippers or buttons near the thigh.
  •  Inform the Radiographer:
o If you’re pregnant or think you might be
o If you’ve had recent surgery, metal implants, or severe pain that limits movement
