Test Preparation

Generally, no special preparation is required. Here’s what you need to know:

  •  Clothing: Wear loose-fitting or elastic-waist pants. You may need to change into a gown to expose the thigh.
  •  Remove Metal Items: Remove any jewelry, belts, buttons, zippers, or objects in pockets near the thigh.
  •  Inform the Technician:
    o If you are pregnant or may be pregnant
    o If you’ve had metal implants, recent surgery, or severe pain or trauma
