X-RAY Both SI Joint Oblique

600.00

An X-Ray Both SI Joint Oblique is a diagnostic imaging test that captures oblique (angled) views of the sacroiliac (SI) joints on both sides. The SI joints are located between the sacrum (base of the spine) and the iliac bones (pelvis). The oblique view provides a clearer image of the joint space, which may not be fully visible in standard frontal views.

    Test Preparation

Usually, no special preparation is required, but follow these general guidelines:

    • Clothing: You may be asked to change into a hospital gown.
    • Metal objects: Remove all metallic items like belts, jewelry, and coins that may interfere with the image.
    • Bowel Preparation (if advised): In some cases, a mild laxative may be suggested a day before to clear bowel gas that can obscure the view.
    • Pregnancy: Inform the technician if you are or might be pregnant.
    During the Test
    • You’ll be asked to lie down on the X-ray table, usually turning slightly to each side to obtain the oblique views of both SI joints.
    • The technician will position you properly and may place supports for comfort.
    • You must stay still while the X-rays are taken.
    • The test is painless and typically takes 15–20 minutes.
    After the Test
    • You can resume normal activities immediately.
    • The radiologist will evaluate the images and your doctor will discuss the findings with you.
