X-RAY Barium Swallow

4,000.00

An X-Ray Barium Swallow is a diagnostic imaging test used to evaluate the esophagus, throat, and upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It helps detect swallowing disorders, acid reflux, ulcers, tumors, hiatal hernias, or structural abnormalities in the esophagus and stomach.

During the test, the patient drinks a liquid barium sulfate contrast, which coats the esophagus and upper GI tract. X-rays are then taken to capture detailed images as the barium moves through the digestive system.
