    Test Preparation

    To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

    General Preparation:

    •  Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal zippers, buttons, or accessories.
    • Remove jewelry, piercings, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and metallic objects.
    •  Inform the technician if you have metal implants (pacemakers, stents, screws, plates, or cochlear implants).
    • Avoid lotions, deodorants, or creams, as some may contain metallic particles.

    Fasting & Medication:

    • No fasting required unless contrast dye is needed (your doctor will inform you).
    •  Continue taking prescribed medications unless instructed otherwise.
    • If contrast is required, inform your doctor if you have kidney disease or contrast allergies.

    Special Considerations:

    • Inform the technician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
    • If you have claustrophobia, discuss sedation options with your doctor.
    • If you have a history of lung or heart disease, inform the radiologist for accurate assessment.
