Test Preparation
To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:
General Preparation:
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes without metallic components.
- Avoid wearing jewelry, hairpins, eyeglasses, and any metallic objects.
- Inform the technician if you have any implants (pacemakers, cochlear implants, metal plates, etc.).
- Remove makeup and hair products, as some may contain metallic particles.
Fasting & Medication:
- No fasting is required unless advised by your doctor.
- Continue taking prescribed medications unless instructed otherwise.
- If sedation is needed (for claustrophobia or anxiety), follow fasting instructions provided by your doctor.
Special Considerations:
- Inform the radiologist if you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy.
- Let the technician know if you have a history of kidney disease (if contrast is used).
- If you have claustrophobia, discuss sedation options before the test.
