An X-Ray Whole Spine (AP + LAT view) is a diagnostic imaging test that provides two detailed views of your entire spine:

• AP (Anteroposterior) View: Front-to-back image
• LAT (Lateral) View: Side-to-side image

Together, these views help in a comprehensive assessment of the spinal alignment, bone structure, and any abnormalities.

Test Preparation

 Before the Test:
• No fasting or special diet is needed.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing – you may be asked to change into a hospital gown.
• Remove all metal objects such as jewelry, eyeglasses, belts, hairpins, or bras with underwire, as they can interfere with image clarity.

 Inform the Radiology Team If:
• You are pregnant or suspect you might be – X-rays involve radiation, and special precautions may be needed.
• You have had any spinal surgery or implants like rods or screws.
