    Description

    Test Preparation

    Before the Test:
    • No fasting or special diet is required.
    • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You may be asked to change into a hospital gown.
    • Remove all metallic items such as jewelry, belts, bras with metal hooks, or any clothing with zippers or buttons that might interfere with the imaging.

    Important to Inform the Technician If:
    • You are pregnant or may be pregnant – radiation exposure is usually avoided unless absolutely necessary.
    • You have had any recent spine surgery or implants (like metal rods, plates, or screws).

    During the Test:
    • You will be asked to stand or lie down straight while the X-ray machine takes images from the front.
    • Stay very still while the X-ray is being taken to avoid blurring.
