An X-ray of the sacrum (LAT), or lateral view of the sacrum, is a diagnostic imaging test that captures side-view images of the sacrum — the triangular bone located at the base of the spine, above the tailbone. This test helps doctors examine the alignment, structure, or possible injuries or conditions affecting the sacrum and nearby pelvic bones.
