An X-Ray Right Knee (Lateral View) is a diagnostic imaging test that captures a side (lateral) view of the right knee joint. Test Preparation

This is a simple, painless, and non-invasive test with minimal preparation required.

    General Preparation:
    • No need to fast or stop medications unless advised otherwise.
    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing or shorts that allow easy access to the knee.
    • You may be asked to change into a gown and remove any metal objects near the knee area (e.g., braces, jewelry, metal zippers).
    • Inform the radiology staff if you are pregnant or might be.

On the Day of the Test:
    • You’ll lie on your side with the right knee positioned on the X-ray table, or sometimes stand in a specific position.
    • The technician may bend your knee slightly to get a clearer view.
    • You will be asked to remain still during the image capture to avoid any blurring.
    • The entire procedure usually takes 5 to 10 minutes and is painless
