Description
Test Preparation
While this is a focused X-ray, minimal preparation is needed.
General Preparation:
• No fasting or medication adjustments required.
• Wear comfortable clothing without any metallic items near the head or neck.
• You may be asked to remove earrings, hearing aids, hairpins, or other metal objects that could interfere with imaging.
• Inform the technician if you are pregnant or might be pregnant.
On the Day of the Test:
• You’ll be positioned on your side or face down on the X-ray table.
• The technician will adjust your head to capture the oblique view of the right internal auditory canal.
• You’ll need to stay completely still during the imaging process.
• The scan is painless and quick, usually completed in 5–10 minutes.
