X-RAY Right Hip Joint (LAT)

300.00

An X-Ray Right Hip Joint (Lateral View) is a diagnostic imaging test that captures a side view of the right hip joint. This view allows a detailed look at the femoral head, neck of the femur, acetabulum (hip socket), and surrounding bony structures from a side (lateral) angle, which can reveal details not visible in the standard front-to-back (AP) view.

    Test Preparation

This is a simple, quick, and non-invasive test that needs minimal preparation.

    General Preparation:
    • No fasting or special medications are required.
    • Wear loose-fitting clothing, preferably without metal around the waist or hips.
    • You may be asked to change into a hospital gown.
    • Remove all Metal objects near the pelvic/hip area (belts, piercings, zippers, coins).
    • Inform the radiographer if you are pregnant or think you might be.

On the Day of the Test:
    • You’ll be asked to lie on your side (usually the unaffected side) to get a clear lateral view of the right hip.
    • The technician may adjust your leg and hip position for the best angle.
    • You will need to stay still during the image capture to avoid motion blur.
    • The test is quick and painless, typically taking 5–10 minutes.
