An X-Ray Orbit (AP) is a diagnostic imaging test that captures an anteroposterior (AP) view (front to back) of the orbits, which are the bony sockets that hold the eyes. This X-ray is used to examine the bones around the eyes and nearby structures. It helps detect:

• Fractures of the orbital bones (usually after trauma or injury)
• Foreign bodies in the eye (especially metallic objects)
• Infections or tumors
• Congenital abnormalities
• Pre- and post-surgical evaluation
