o Take off earrings, hairpins, glasses, hearing aids, or any metallic accessories around the head and neck. - Hair:
o Ensure hair is tied back or styled in a way that keeps the area behind the ears clear. - Clothing:
o You may be asked to wear a hospital gown and a lead apron for radiation protection. - Pregnancy Alert:
o Inform the radiographer if you are or might be pregnant so that necessary precautions can be taken. - Stay Still:
o You will need to remain very still, and may be asked to hold your breath briefly to ensure a clear image. - No Fasting Required:
o You can eat and drink normally before the test.
