    Test Preparation

    Generally, no special preparation is needed, but follow these basic steps:

    • Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. You may need to change into a hospital gown.
    • Remove Metal Items: Remove belts, jewelry, and any clothing with zippers, buttons, or metal near the lower back or hips.
    •  Inform the Radiographer:
      o If you’re pregnant or think you may be
      o If you have had recent surgery, implants, or injury in the pelvic or lower back region
