An X-Ray Left Leg (AP + LAT) includes two standard views of the left lower leg:

• AP (Anterior-Posterior) View: Taken from front to back
• LAT (Lateral) View: Taken from the side

These views help doctors get a complete picture of the tibia and fibula, along with the knee and ankle joints, to check for fractures, bone alignment, infections, tumors, or other bone conditions.

    Test Preparation

    Generally, no special preparation is required. Just follow these simple steps:

    •  Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may be asked to change into a gown.
    •  Remove Metal Items: Take off any metal objects like jewelry, watches, or belts near the leg area.
    • Notify the Radiographer:
      o If you are pregnant or may be pregnant
      o If you’ve had any recent surgery, injury, or metal implants in your leg
