An X-Ray Left Forearm (AP View) is a diagnostic imaging test where the X-ray beam passes from front to back (Anteroposterior) through the left forearm, capturing a straight-on view of the radius and ulna (the two long bones in the forearm), as well as nearby joints (wrist and elbow).

    Test Preparation

    There is no special preparation needed, but here’s what to expect:

    •  Clothing: Wear a short-sleeved or sleeveless shirt. You may be asked to change into a gown.
    •  Remove metal objects: Take off watches, bracelets, rings, or any metal near the arm to avoid interference with the X-ray image.
    •  Inform the technician if you’re pregnant: Let the radiographer know if you are pregnant or might be. They will take appropriate safety precautions.
    •  No dietary restrictions: You can eat and drink normally before the test.
