    Test Preparation

    Generally, no special preparation is required. However, here are some common guidelines:

    • Clothing: You may be asked to wear a hospital gown and remove any accessories.
    • Metal objects: Remove jewelry, eyeglasses, hairpins, or anything metallic that may interfere with the image.
    • Inform the technician: Let them know if you are or might be pregnant.
    During the Test
    • The patient is usually asked to sit or stand still.
    • The head is positioned sideways to capture the lateral view of both nasal bones.
    • The procedure is quick and painless, usually completed within 5–10 minutes.
    After the Test
    • You can resume normal activities immediately.
    • The radiologist will review the images and send the report to your doctor for further consultation.
