Description
Tests Included:
1. TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone):
The primary test to detect thyroid dysfunction. Elevated TSH is usually the first indicator of hypothyroidism.
2. Free T4 (Thyroxine):
Measures the level of unbound, active thyroid hormone in the blood to assess the severity of hypothyroidism.
Some panels may also include T3, Anti-TPO antibodies, or additional thyroid markers based on clinical need.
Preparation Required:
• No fasting is typically required
• Take the test in the morning, ideally before taking any thyroid medication if you’re already being treated
