Description
Why It’s Done:
An Executive Health Check-Up is performed for the following reasons:
1. Preventive Health Screening:
o Detects early signs of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, thyroid disorders, liver or kidney dysfunction, and more.
2. Stress-Related Health Evaluation:
o Ideal for working professionals exposed to long hours, high stress, and sedentary lifestyles.
3. Baseline Health Monitoring:
o Establishes a baseline to monitor future changes in health status.
4. Lifestyle Disease Risk Assessment:
o Helps identify risk factors for conditions like obesity, high cholesterol, fatty liver, etc.
5. Annual Health Maintenance:
o Encourages regular check-ups and health awareness among professionals and executives.
Preparation:
• Fasting Requirement:
o 10–12 hours of fasting is mandatory. Only water is allowed during this period. Do not eat or drink anything else before the test.
• Medications:
o Inform your doctor and lab technician about any medications or supplements you’re taking. Some may need to be paused temporarily.
• Clothing:
o Wear comfortable clothing; you may be asked to change into a hospital gown for some tests (like ECG or Ultrasound).
• Avoid Alcohol and Smoking:
o Do not consume alcohol or smoke for 24 hours before the check-up.
• Stay Hydrated:
o Drink water, especially if urine tests and ultrasound are included (a full bladder may be needed for pelvic USG).
• Pregnancy:
o If you’re pregnant or suspect pregnancy, inform the technician before any X-ray is conducted.
