4,500.00

EMG (Electromyography) and NCV (Nerve Conduction Velocity) are commonly performed together to evaluate the health of your nerves and muscles.

When done on both upper limbs, these tests focus on the shoulders, arms, forearms, hands, and fingers to identify nerve or muscle-related issues.

Description

Test Preparation

To ensure the test is smooth and accurate, follow these preparation tips:

 Clothing:
• Wear a short-sleeved shirt or loose, comfortable clothing.
• You may be asked to change into a gown to allow access to your arms.
 Skin Care:
• Shower or bathe before the test to ensure clean skin.
• Do not apply lotions, creams, or oils on your arms or hands on the day of the test, as they interfere with the electrodes.
Medications:
• You can take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.
• Inform your doctor or technician if:
o You are on blood thinners (e.g., warfarin, aspirin)
o You have a bleeding disorder
o You take nerve or muscle relaxant medications
