    Test Preparation

    To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

    • Before the Scan:
      Fasting: Not required (as no contrast dye is used).
    • Clothing & Accessories:
      • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
      • Remove metal objects (belts, jewelry, piercings, zippers) from the leg area.
    • Medical History:
      • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy.
      • Mention any previous leg injuries, surgeries, or bone conditions.
    • During the Scan:
      You will be asked to lie flat on the CT table with legs extended.
      The scanner will take X-ray-like images of the entire leg from hip to ankle.
      The procedure is quick and painless, lasting about 5–10 minutes.
      No contrast dye is used for this scan.
    • After the Scan:
      No recovery time needed – You can resume normal activities immediately.
      The results are typically available within a few hours or days.
