Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline

  • Fasting: Not required for a plain (non-contrast) scan.
  • Clothing & Accessories: Wear loose, comfortable clothing and remove any jewelry, piercings, dentures, or metal objects around the neck.
  •  Medical History: Inform the doctor if you:
    • Are pregnant or suspect pregnancy.
    • Have any medical conditions affecting breathing or swallowing.
  • Breathing Instructions: You may be asked to hold your breath briefly during the scan for clearer images.
  • Hydration: No specific restrictions, but staying hydrated is recommended.
