Test Preparation
To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:
- Fasting:
• No fasting required since no contrast is used. - Hydration:
• Drink plenty of water before the scan to ensure the urinary system is well-hydrated. - Bladder Preparation:
• In some cases, you may be asked to have a full bladder before the scan for better imaging. - Metal Object Removal:
• Remove belts, jewelry, zippers, or any metal objects near the abdomen to prevent image distortion. - Breathing & Positioning Instructions:
• You will need to lie still on the CT table.
• The technician may ask you to hold your breath for a few seconds during imaging. - Post-Procedure Care:
• No special precautions are needed, and you can resume normal activities immediately after the scan.
