A CT Head + Neck scan is a computed tomography (CT) scan used to obtain detailed cross-sectional images of the brain, skull, neck, and surrounding soft tissues. It is commonly used to diagnose:

• Head trauma, skull fractures, and brain hemorrhage
• Stroke, tumors, or infections in the brain or neck
• Sinus, orbital (eye), and ear disorders
• Neck masses, lymph node enlargement, or thyroid abnormalities
• Throat, vocal cord, and airway obstructions

Depending on the condition, the scan may be done with or without contrast dye for better visualization of blood vessels and tissues.
