A CT Head + Face (Plain) scan is a non-contrast computed tomography (CT) scan used to obtain detailed images of the brain, skull, facial bones, and soft tissues. It helps diagnose conditions such as:

• Head trauma, skull fractures, or facial bone injuries
• Brain hemorrhage, swelling, or stroke
• Sinus infections, facial abnormalities, or orbital (eye) issues
• Tumors, cysts, or structural abnormalities
• Chronic headaches, dizziness, or neurological symptoms

Since this is a plain scan, no contrast dye is used.
