CT Angiography (Per Part Plain)

6,000.00

CT Angiography (CTA) (Per Part Plain) refers to a non-contrast CT scan of a specific part of the body, usually to evaluate blood vessels without contrast dye. This scan is used when contrast-enhanced imaging is not required or not possible due to allergies, kidney issues, or other medical reasons.

“Per Part” means the scan focuses on a specific body region, such as:
• Brain (Head/Neck CTA)
• Chest (Pulmonary CTA)
• Abdomen (Aortic CTA)
• Limbs (Peripheral CTA)

“Plain” means it is performed without contrast dye, making it useful for:
• Detecting large vessel abnormalities (e.g., aneurysms, severe blockages)
• Assessing bone and calcifications in arteries
• Evaluating vascular conditions when contrast is contraindicated

Description

Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

Fasting Requirements
• In most cases, no fasting is required for a plain (non-contrast) CTA.
• Some facilities may request 4-6 hours of fasting to ensure better imaging.
Hydration
• Drink plenty of water before and after the test to improve scan quality and overall comfort.
Clothing & Accessories
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing without metal parts.
• Remove metal objects (jewelry, piercings, hearing aids, glasses, hairpins, etc.) from the scan area.
Medication Considerations
• Continue taking regular medications unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.
• Diabetes medications (Metformin, Insulin): No specific restrictions, but always inform the radiologist if you take them.
• Blood thinners (Warfarin, Aspirin): Usually, no need to stop, but confirm with your doctor.
Special Considerations
• Inform the doctor if you are pregnant or have any implants, pacemakers, or metal devices in your body.
