Description

Test Preparation

To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guideline:

  • Fasting:
    • Avoid food for 4-6 hours before the scan.
    • Clear fluids (water, tea, black coffee) may be allowed unless instructed otherwise.
  • Hydration:
    • You may need to drink extra water before the scan to enhance contrast distribution.
  • Contrast Considerations:
    • Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, diabetes, or allergies to iodine-based contrast.
    • If you have a history of contrast allergies, pre-medication (antihistamines or steroids) may be required.
  • Diabetes & Medication:
    • If you take Metformin, you may need to stop it 24-48 hours before and after the scan (as per medical advice).
    • Other medications should be taken as usual unless otherwise instructed.
  • Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
