Test Preparation
To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guidelines:
- Clothing – Wear loose, comfortable clothing for easy access to the left leg. You may be asked to remove pants or roll them up.
- Fasting – Not required; you can eat and drink normally.
- Medications – Continue taking your regular medications unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
- Avoid Smoking & Caffeine – Refrain from smoking or consuming caffeine at least 2-3 hours before the test, as these can affect blood circulation.
- No Lotions or Oils – Avoid applying any lotions, creams, or oils on your legs before the test, as they may interfere with the ultrasound gel.
- Stay Relaxed – Avoid excessive walking or standing before the test, as this may temporarily affect blood flow.
