Description
Test Preparation
To ensure accurate results, follow these preparation guidelines:
- Clothing – Wear loose and comfortable clothing, preferably a shirt with an open collar or a button-down shirt for easy access to the neck.
- Fasting – Not required in most cases. However, some doctors may advise fasting for 4-6 hours before the test to reduce gas interference.
- Medications – Continue taking your regular medications unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.
- Avoid Smoking & Caffeine – Refrain from smoking or consuming caffeine at least 2-3 hours before the test, as these can affect blood vessel constriction.
- No Neck Jewelry or Accessories – Remove necklaces, chains, or scarves before the test.
- Stay Relaxed – Avoid stress before the test, as anxiety can sometimes affect blood vessel dilation.
