Clothing & Accessories:
• Wear loose and comfortable clothing to allow easy access to arms and legs.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothes that could restrict blood flow.
• Remove any jewelry or accessories from the limbs.
Dietary Restrictions:
• In most cases, no fasting is required.
• However, if your doctor has advised a combined abdominal Doppler, you may need to fast for 6-8 hours before the test.
Medications:
• Continue taking your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.
• If you are on blood thinners, diabetes medication, or hypertension drugs, inform the technician or doctor before the test.
Lifestyle Considerations Before the Test:
• Avoid smoking or consuming caffeine at least 2 hours before the test, as these can affect blood circulation.
• Stay hydrated, but avoid excessive fluids if you have been advised fasting.
Other Important Instructions:
• Inform your doctor if you have a history of vascular diseases, diabetes, or blood clots.
• Arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.
