Ama / Anti Mitochondrial Antibodies – Serum

2,000.00

The AMA – Serum test detects anti-mitochondrial antibodies in the blood. These antibodies target mitochondria, which are the energy-producing structures inside cells. The presence of AMA is strongly associated with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a chronic autoimmune liver disease that causes gradual destruction of bile ducts.
This test is performed on a blood serum sample and helps in the diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune liver disorders.
