Why It’s Done:
• To diagnose allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to Candida albicans in individuals with chronic sinusitis, asthma, or other allergy-like symptoms.

Preparation:
• For blood tests:
– No fasting or special preparation required.
– Continue medications unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
• For skin tests:
– Avoid antihistamines for 3 to 7 days before testing as they may affect results (consult your doctor).
– Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking.
– Wear clothing that allows easy access to the skin, such as short sleeves.
